2010 Audi Q7 6.0 V12 TDI Quattro — A Rare Audi Engineering Icon Price: OMR 7,500 This is not just another Audi Q7. The Q7 V12 TDI belongs to a completely different chapter of Audi history — a time when Audi wanted to show just how far its engineering could go. A 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 diesel, producing 500 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, combined with Quattro all-wheel drive and seven seats. This was never meant to be an ordinary Q7. It was an engineering statement. The V12 TDI brought to the road the same diesel-performance philosophy that defined Audi’s Le Mans era. It was ambitious, excessive and almost unnecessary — and that is exactly what makes it so special today. 0–100 km/h in around 5.5 seconds. In a full-size seven-seat luxury SUV. This is one of those cars that simply would not be built today. When launched in Germany, the Q7 V12 TDI started at approximately €130,600 — around OMR 58,000 at today’s exchange rate — before options. And this particular car has the specification to match its flagship status. Premium beige leather, wood interior trim, panoramic glass roof, Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, 21-inch wheels, high-performance brakes, reversing camera, rear climate control and a spacious seven-seat cabin. It combines something very rare: serious performance, real luxury and genuine practicality. There are many Audi Q7s on the road. This is not one of them. You do not buy a Q7 V12 TDI simply because you need an SUV. You buy one because Audi once decided that a twin-turbo V12 diesel luxury SUV should exist. Ownership & Maintenance I purchased the car in 2022 and have owned it for almost four years. It currently has only around 130,000 km. Throughout my ownership, all servicing and maintenance have been carried out through Audi, using new genuine Audi parts whenever replacements were required. The latest scheduled service was completed in April 2026, and a couple of minor repairs have also been completed recently to keep the car properly maintained and up to date. Registration is valid until May 2027, and insurance is also already paid through 2027. After almost four years of ownership, I have decided it is time for the car to move on to its next owner — ideally someone who understands what the Q7 V12 TDI represents and appreciates how unusual it really is. A piece of Audi engineering history that happens to have seven seats.
